Recently I was very curious and interested in a novel titled Sound and Fury and I plan to buy the novel, before I buy it I looking for the information through the internet about that and it turns out the title of the novel is taken from a famous literary work that is Macbeth. I can not wait to read the novel .. read some article in the internet about novel Sound and Fury by William Faulkner make my curiosity increased :D
The title of the novel is taken from Macbeth's famous soliloquy of act 5, scene 5 of William Shakespeare's Macbeth:
Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow,
Creeps in this petty pace from day to day
To the last syllable of recorded time,
And all our yesterdays have lighted fools
The way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle!
Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.
